Casper Beach - Mendocino

There's no better place to experience the lost harbor, which now houses a picturesque camping and RV park, Caspar Beach RV Park, located just 3.5 miles north of the village of Mendocino.

Stay in your tent or RV in a clean, fun, friendly atmosphere for the whole family at a unique campground on the Mendocino Coast.  Your kids are sure to have fun bike riding, boogie boarding, kite flying or at the arcade.  If you count a dog as one of your family members, know that we are a pet friendly park, complete with dog walks, plus pet food and toys in our store.  We encourage and enjoy the presence of your pets and ask that they be leashed at all times for the safety of themselves and others..

Enjoy the beach access from your RV or campsite without getting in your car!  They offer an on-site arcade and grocery & novelty store that also carries dive and fishing gear, warm clothing, and extra batteries for your flashlight, along with many other surprises.  Try a cup of coffee with your morning paper and relax on our porch with ocean views.  Enjoy your choice of hookups (full and partial, pull through and back in) for your RV (they can accommodate up to 50 foot long motorhomes in long pull throughs), or just bring the tent for a little down-to-earth camping, surrounded by bushes and trees. All RV sites have cable TV and wireless access for your laptop.

This is a mature park with beautiful gardens surrounded by lush greenery.  The campground itself is in a canyon, surrounded by State Park lands, and faces a protected cove, no more than a few minutes' walk from any site.  There are 75-100 feet of beautiful cliffs that help protect the cove from winds and harsh elements.

Take full advantage of water sports available at Caspar Beach.  Dive and fish to your heart's content or hit the water for a little surfing, boogie-boarding, kayaking, snorkeling or swimming. Surfboards, boogie boards, paddle boards and kayaks are all available for rent at their store. Sunbathe on the sandy shores, or comb the beach for shells.  But be sure to take a glass of wine, sit and relax, and enjoy our spectacular sunsets.

For a sample of near-by activities, you can wander through picturesque Mendocino Village, visit the Botanical Gardens just south of Ft. Bragg, ride the "Skunk Train" from Ft. Bragg (about 6 miles away) through the redwoods, visit a near-by lighthouse, or walk beautiful trails.
